January 1, 2010The Roselle Chamber of Commerce named Greg Martucci as the 2009 Joseph G. Salerno Business Person of the Year, recognizing him for his professional successes and leadership in the community.
Greg Martucci founded the Law Office of Gregory J. Martucci, P.C. in 1996, opening his Lake Street office after working many years as an associate attorney with another law firm. To better serve his growing client base, Greg moved his office to its current location at Irving Park Road and Park Street in downtown Roselle in 2007. Greg enjoys giving his clients the personal attention of a “small town lawyer,” while utilizing current technology, such as electronic filing and online research.
Since obtaining his J.D. degree from the John Marshall Law School and law license in 1983, Greg has enjoyed representing consumers and small business owners in a variety of areas, including bankruptcy, criminal and traffic defense, injuries, workers’ compensation, civil litigation and collections. Greg continues to provide numerous hours of pro-bono legal services to indigent clients. Professionally, Greg has been admitted to the Illinois Bar, the trial bar of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the United States Supreme Court Bar. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the DuPage County Bar Association and the Northwest Suburban Bar Association.
Greg’s firm has been a member of the Chamber since 1996, and Greg has served on the Board of Directors since 1997, serving as Director and Secretary. For the past 12 years, he has chaired the Scholarship Committee, which has annually awarded thousands of dollars to deserving high school seniors, to further their educational goals. Over the years, Greg has volunteered at the Rose Parade and the Chamber’s beer and bingo tents, performed with a band at the Taste of Roselle, run in the Run for the Roses, contributed to the Chamber Auction, Golf Outing and Bingo, assisted with other Chamber projects, and regularly attends Chamber meetings and events.
Greg is a Jaycee Senator and past President of the Elk Grove Jaycees, an accomplished Toastmaster, a member of the Roselle Lions Club and Knights of Columbus, an active member of St. Walter Parish and a violinist with the choir. To balance his various work and volunteer activities, Greg enjoys spending time with his wife, Patty, and cheering on their daughter, Kat, at her sporting events.
Greg’s significant contributions to the Chamber and the community, dedication to his growing business and commitment to his clients, make him a deserving recipient of the Chamber’s 2009 Business Person of the Year Award.
